The holes for my ski rack are being used for my bike rack. biggrin.gif

Very nice. So were they there before, and if so did they fall apart when removed?

I had to clean the ski rack holes with a tap. (Just a bit of rust). I made the blocks (rather crudely) from some aluminum I had laying around. I got some Yakima bike rack parts to finish it. Here's a pic with the bike on the rack taken at the 2005 WCC. Twelve years and twenty pounds ago. laugh.gif

By the way, I made Mike D. buy his set of factory ski racks from me a few G & R's ago. I think he is glad he did. wub.gif

Oddly enough, my car still has them and they aren't painted over either. Hmm, looks like that might be a good spot to get a paint match from.

BEAUTIFUL!!!!!

Made these from the same compound factory did. Took a little research, but there is a reason they used what they did. Should last a long time. I understand why the others have had issues with their reproduction of this part. Took a little longer but worth the wait.

Vacuum stack elbow listed yet? I can't find it.
Mike D.
It's got to be better than this piece of crap from AA
This is their brand-new $25 reproduction BTW.
Mikey914
Aaaaahhh WTF?????

Yes!

This is the technology we were using 8 years ago. Hand casting in silicone molds. It will make the shape but is limited. There are also techniques you can use to eliminate most of the bubbles, but it does cost a little more and required equipment to do it.

Blake should have these up later this morning. I'm in training and he was off the last 2 days, but yes I'll make sure he gets these up on the site today and post a link (with a few more pictures too).

I got one of those too. I keep it as a reminder to never buy anything from them again. What a piece of shit! The fact that you would put that on your shelves and then sell it to someone blows me away.

Mikey yours looks amazing!!
Mikey914
Well at least you won't have to buy that anymore.
