my car is Copper metallic and is one of my favorites, but if I were able to pick whatever I wanted?
1. Alaska blue metallic
2. Copper Metallic
3. Tangerine

but I like them all!

Not necessarily, My car may be Tangerine and I did post a picture of it..
But, it wouldn't have been my first choice of color when I bought it..
It was the color it was....
I did entertain the thought of a color change back in the 70's
I've learned to like it over the last 40+ years...
But if I HAD been given a choice back in the day... ??

Love Signal Orange, partly because a like a bright color on a small, low car. But I've seen awesome examples in every color.

Olympic Blue - but I'm biased
Alaska Blue Metallic - seems to attract attention

I like orange too. You just don't see orange very often.

As some other posters on this thread have hinted at, the other question is: If cost was not an issue and you could repaint your car, would you keep it the same color or would you switch?

I can only surmise that this post is in reference to the sexy Tornados that grace my car! TBH, I think they look like a pile of No offense to those that actually like them.

I bought an OEM pair from Brad at 914 Ltd. , but may not have the right holes on the doors to install them. Regardless, I have two months to sort this out.

You are getting close.
Will it be on the road this summer?

My wife and I like all the early 70s colors, but agreed that for a 914 we like Signal Orange best. That said, we are looking forward to fresh Saturn Yellow on the car I'm working on now.

Haven't touched it this year except to push it onto the lift and put
it out of the way....
Absolutely 0 ambition to go anywhere near it.... Maybe that will change...
But I really doubt it...
I think I waited too long and now it just represents a pain in the ass..

I am sure Germans wouldn't want to call it BRG, since British cars were still actually a thing back then!

I am a fan of Silver Metallic (my 911 is silver (6206), but if it were a 914 color, Bahama Yellow (a 911/912 color) would be my choice. I'll be saving that color for my '66 912

Irish Green and BRG are similar. BRG is a bit deeper, maybe more blue in it?

Btw, that Irish Green flared car above is really great looking...!!!!

I find that I now like some of the odd 70's colors, that I didn't like back then.

I'm partial to the blue and green metallic paints, but with the black accents any color looks good on a 914.

My 6 had a metallic grass green with light tan interior, both a bit rare, and a great combination
