I have hit a snag with my rear calipers and cannot wait 4 + weeks for parts, or even if i can find the parts.
What options have been found to work in place of the originals?
I've read that 3 series bmw ones have been used but can't find the year/model they were from.
can someone who has done this change advise me on what you used, it's for a standard 4 bolt hub on a 74 car.

BMW calipers only work in the front as I've understood it. In the rear you need the stock ones.
PMB Performance should be able to help you out, I'd be suprised if they dont have a set of rear calipers in stock.

Just post a 'wanted to buy' on the forum for the rear brake part that you need.

Posted more detailed response in your
other thread.
But the bottom line is that I bet if you take the piston to a competent machine shop, they can clean up those threads for you.
