Rubber gloves? Heck, I rather enjoy the tiny little metal slivers that come out of the gear stacks.

I'm doing this very thing in my garage/workshop. I can't get nobody to come over and play.

Going to go get a big ass pin pliers to get the synchro ring retainers off and on. Damn them things are tough. Managed one of them off but just can't get the SOB back on.

I can bring some good shop towels and other stuff from the hospital that are disposable items that we just throw away if not used (clean of course!) Ask Scott about my "hospital donations!"

Mark,
Do me a favor and get yourself a rear tranny seal (the paper one that goes between the tail cone and the intermediate plate). I will need to replace that one when I take your tail cone off. You can probably source it locally pretty easy and they are cheap. I know PP used to sell them loose.

I may have a compete set missing the front seal, If I can find it, I will bring it with me.

I'll also check the VW place. They may carry it.

I'll be starting on Mark's tranny at 10am. While he is jacking it up and removing the muffler, we can start to dissassemble Joe's tranny.

Oh my...I am eating my heart out with envy. I am stuck here in Ohio with only plans to do dry-wall at my sons house, and hopes of a Sunday drive to Columbus in the teener.

You guys will be seeing and learning all sorts of stuff that I sure could use (think 1st &2nd syncros are bad), and the worst part of it is that aside all the education, you guys will be having hats, noise makers, booze, food, and dancing girls ! dang, I need to move out west !
