You guys should name the blue, so the op will know the specific name, just sayin. He's looking for paint options I believe.
My suggestion is to do a google image search for '918 blue'. I think the 918 got the best colors from porsche's past and some were stock 914 colors. IMO the 918 puts them in the most idealistic view. I personally like the "voodoo blue" .. mexico blue. OTOH, I love the glow effect of metallics too. Picking a color is tough!

Blue metallic but I also like Adriatic blue

+1 on Marathon. It's almost as nice as Silver Metallic

OP here and yep you got it I’m still looking at paint options for my 75/76’ restoration that begins next week. Found a couple more here and I’m leaning heavy toward Olympic. Thanks for the input everyone. Keep em coming.

It's partly your fault. I was going to paint it Gemini Blue, since I was born in June, but a year ago at the Phoenix Club event, I saw a Gemini Blue car side by side with an Alaska Blue car. I was sold on the Alaska Blue darker color. I then went to Rennsport and saw your car. Done deal after that.

Great choice then! It’s much more stellar in person than in Picts. The right selection of chrome and black sets it off too. If I were to consider one thing it would be adding back the sail trim and bits. Just fine without it, but it kind of puts it all in there on the chrome side. Good luck with the reassembly!

Alaska Blue Metallic. But I’m biased.
For a 75 or 76, I would suggest either Ancona or Laguna blue.
It's interesting to see an Olympic Blue next to a Laguna Blue car. You start to see the differences right away; the Laguna actually has a little violet tone when compared to the greener tone of the Oly Blau.
But I think Ancona would be amazing on a late car.
