Hey guys most of the diagrams I see on the 914-6 fuel system
always seem to stop where I want some detail. confused24.gif
I just purchased some fuel rail clips and would like to buy the
retro fuelrail 914rubber makes. I wanted to see from the point of the fuel rail
to the carbs how those lines are situated and the clips and such. Pix of the rear portion of engine bay area and carbs.
If anyone has pix would like to see them.
I could not find any in the originality forum.
I’ll be running Weber’s with no stock airbox though. I’m trying to present as near factory layout as possible. (ie. No aftermarket shiny metallic lines)
Thanks fellas! beerchug.gif

The engine's currently out of my /6 so I could get some pictures of the rear bulkhead showing the location of the clip holes and the hard line position if that would be helpful.

Appreciate it Josh. I understand where the fuel rail sits, just wondering how the lines come forward to Carbs. Any other clips or do they just rest on the tin & fan shroud as they make their way to the banjo fitting on Carbs. Thanks.

The fuel rail on mine has a couple tie wraps holding it to the rear trunk torsion bars (probably not factory..) The fuel hose from the banjo fittings to the rail are black rubber, I think I replaced them years ago and cut to length. Back on the firewall are 3-4 small holes that look they might be used for clips, but I don't ever recall removing them.

@fixer34 thank you. Ok. I have the clips for the holes you referenced.
I think I’ll purchase 914rubber’s fuel rail.
So it’s basically a straight shot from the rail to the banjo fittings it seems.
Appreciate it.
Cheers, Dion

Hey Dion
This is near stock for the fuel line arrangement,
The fuel filter is not original but necessary.
The clear bottle is my catch can.....as simple as possible.
I just noticed one of the fuel line clips is on the loose.

He will be sorry, its a vent, go to air cleaners , or kn that will make white black..
evacuation...its a dry sump,,,unless uour engine is totally Fd, and you know how to check oil level,,
you will never need a tank.. or do a proper gt style.. my 2.0 906 plus ,,,pukes a bit at 8500rpm

I didn't use my metal pipe but would rather have,I couldn't seem to set it up because of my regulator placement and the need to read my pressure gauge,I do plan in the future to build a custom hard pipe and minimize the amount of hose used.
Are the holes for the plastic clips drilled in on a 4 cyl or just the factory 6 cyl cars ?.

@Dion why not just a recirculation fuel line setup like PMO does?

My other 6 has had this arrangement for many years.
The bottle is slit along the top surface so it would vent easily ......if it had any blowby
Evacuation ? ...please explain.
Not sure if my engine is totally Fd or not.
Is totally Fd good or bad ?
I do know how to check the oil level.
I will always need a tank.
Proper GT style ? Early 911 washer bottle in trunk ....original but not
exactly elegant. My car is not original
My engine will never see 8500rpm
You own a 906 ?

My 911 washer bottle just rests below the oil tank filler. I use a 914 door vent (the round black thingy with the ball of cotton on it) as a "stopper" for the vent, works like a charm.

Dang Rory, your car is looking great!!!!!

@mb911 I’m prolly going to do a combo of the two, at least in my
head. Trying to figure out layout and where
regulator like @porschetub has mentioned.
I wasn’t sure how close the feed lines sat once the engine
is in situ. It’ll be a hybrid of factory and PMO.
Most was curious of placement of original setup

Rory, Larmo nailed it- your car is beautiful; love the RS finish wheels too. The look is perfect. smilie_pokal.gif

Knew I saw a good pix somewhere. This came up in another thread. Thought the original lines just came in from the metal fuel line on the fire wall.
