I an trying to fab up supports for the bottom of the door jams (blue in the attached sketch.)
The old ones were rusty—shocking I know.
I will be installing a Brad Mayeur stiffening kit (red in the attached sketch) and so I am thinking that because of the strength of this reinforcement I can probably make the door jam support a little shorter (not go to the bottom of the long). This will leave clearance for the lines if I decide to run a front oil cooler later. At this point I am thinking rear passenger fender for a cooler, but I want to get feedback on how they work from Perry Kiehl first
Alternatively, I can make it go to the bottom of the long and later maybe drill holes in the side of the support if I decide on a front oil cooler.
See the sketch below to visualize what I am talking about.
I will build the support out of 16 ga to make it pretty hefty.
My question is what is the outer diameter of the biggest oil line I could possibly need for a non-track 3.2?
Thanks,
-Andrew
