I took the fire wall back pad off yesterday found
more holes so took the seats amd carpet of this is
what i found besides $1.07 in change. how bad does
this look and the wireing there was 3 wires that was
cut that has to be the A/C wireing the wireing in the
back the red and black is to the fule pump and the
bare one w solder on top, is the other to pump which
is surrounded inside the wireing harness Brown. Hope
these pic's post. The engine is ready to go back in
but not in this tub like it is.

how are the longs? hell hole?

because that firewall is fixable... I think you can still get a repro of the whole damn thing!

looks pretty crusty. Cut until the rust is gone, weld until the holes are gone. Get an old hood/door or something and use that to fill in the holes....or buy the panel but..

You can see air through the suspension console through one of those holes. That looks pretty bad. Not unfixable, but it will take a lot of work to revive that car. Here in CA, that's a parts car.

Take up all the tar floor covering with a heat gun. then you will be able to see how bad the floor is and you will have a better idea of the extent of the rust.

Hell hole, longs and suspension console are the important areas as far as rust goes

a little cutting and welding for sure. You'll have to fab the replacement pieces - they don't sell that upper firewall piece as far as I know. Check the hell hole on either side, you may have to do some work there as well, unless this is from a wet sound deadening pad.

Stick with it though. Mine's all cleaned up now and awaiting reassembly

yup gonna do a lot of cuting and grinding cont find 20 gage plate will have to go with 22 gage but longs are good chop chop here chop chop there....

wet sound pad probly so not going back with it but the floors will gget heat gunned and see how bad it really is....

Found this when I went to install the new carpet. Seatbelt attach bolt.....wasn't . Glad I didn't need them in the 500 miles I put on it prior.

the rust i have is not that low hell hole under the battery bottom right goes through the side not the frame can grind that down and weld new plate on top. I have not dropped the rocker panels yet but I do know that the jack post on the drivers side is just dangleing will drop that friday when i am off......22-24 gage plate weldable steel is as close as i can find in Levelland or Lubbock probly going with 22 gage to weld it back, never mig welded have arch welded and welded the muffler mounts on the SS heat exchangers that I Have Will Post pic's of the engine totaly back togeather when I can get my dig camera back this weekend.

don't sweat the MIG... it's 100 X easier than stick... none of that hammer and brush SHIT!
