Full Version: Using a bit of grease to hold the first gear assembly in place when the nosecone is removed?

I need to pull the transmission nosecone assembly off the Arizona car and it was suggested to me that putting a little bit of grease on the first gear assembly would make it easier to reinstall everything because it won’t slide around in the process.

So long as I don’t go crazy with the amount, any issues with this approach?

Most excellent Doc, I shall use a copious amount because I could readily except being younger and stronger. ;-)

Thanks!
