So, we’re testing one of our new improved relays and we’re currently through 545,000 cycles. We are doing live load testing on a timer that cycles ever 7 seconds. It may stop tomorrow, it may keep going for a few more months. So let’s bet how many cycles can we get before it dies?
Closest guess gets a $50 credit
What’s your number.?
914e
It is running a motor every 7 seconds? If it hasn't failed by now I go for an even million. I figure if it doesn't fail by then you will give up trying to break it.

In all fairness we do shut it down before we leave, and turn it on in the morning, so we are able to monitor it, should it stop working, or the motor fail.

needs some climate change..

Temperature range we've tested the relays alone are -20F to 150F They are rated for more than that, but this is a more than reasonable range.

1.2million ! Go for it !

Price is right rules? (closest without going over)?

I say 673,000.
Mikey914
I'd be more generous and just say closest. Just in case it dies tomorrow so we would have a winner. I never expected it to go this far.

A brazilian. Everybody knows that's a lot.

Picking an actual number... 9,149,144 - but my crystal ball says that is the number it would have gotten to if you hadn't have gotten tired of waiting on it and stopped the test first. biggrin.gif

You should have said 1,829,828 (2 x 914,914) which is my guess and obviously a much better number!

After buying 8 of these (a complete tongue in cheek statement) I found a major flaw!

I noted that some of these fitted very lose in the relay board. If this happens don’t fret. A quick spread of the contacts using a razor blade or thin flat blade screw driver solves the issue easily.

Great product guys!

We have a winner. The fatality occurred at 615665.
Would love to have seen it go further but really it's overkill.

So looks like @SB914 is the winner.
I'll drop you a PM with the code
Thanks for playing!

So if I drive the 914 twice a day everyday, I can only expect it last 400 years?
