drivers side door pocket lid pull down, but only one.

Trying to figure out how it works, I do see on the flap where to connect it, but can't figure out where it goes below for hook up?

There should be a brass grommet in the door pad for the bottom end of the spring.

I just happened to have a door panel in the room

It is unnecessary and difficult to install.
Gravity does a fine job of keeping the lid down.
.....on the other hand, I always install them on my own cars.

That's a passenger side should go on drivers side

I think I'll stick with gravity, Thanks for the info.

I've no grommet, just a small hole in the door frame itself. The trick, for me anyway, is to attach the spring to the door and lid before attaching the assembly itself onto the door.
