I remember about a year after I bought my car, I went into the dealer to get a price on new muffler, just to keep in stock. Price at that time (1977) was $600 per half, not counting the connecting pipes!!!!! Needless to say I didn't buy. A mistake in light of the fact that they have never been available from Porsche or repopped since then.

The hardest part when i restored Six's was the factory tailshift linkage rear plastic cover box for a Six linkage. . not the same as a 4 cylinder transmission.

Yeah, I know AA makes a repop but OE is impossible to find.

These used to be a lot easier to find with a little digging. Now, not so much.

I can find anything else like to do 914-6's, etc...but not this.

same for J spec cars,
the 6 here that came in early 70s had those.
be pretty rare.
that would be ironic if one of the warts turned out to be monty python's quest?
personally l love the warts, even mec spec.

anyone know where to get the 2 little plastic tubes that hang out of the bottom of the spare wheel well. mine are still there but i had to apply a bit of urethane glue to ensure survival.
its a 911 part?

Pete, my buddy JimTorresRacing.com mfgs a complete 935/962 horizintal fan system...replication of the latest 935/78 style (serpentine belt w/tensioner), Real hard to tell the diff from the Stuttgart pieces. He mfgs. from aluminum, instead of the magnesium style from the Motorsports Dept.
In my prev post $44 (red horiz fan assy), not totally visible are the newly fabricated engine tins, that are placed at the engine oil cooler.
The 935 & 962s did not usually keep the OE cooler on the block.

It's the lower one in the picture and has larger slot for 10mm bolt vs. 8mm for 4cyl. 2.0
also cut 'square' compared to the 4cyl. angle. AND different shape (more pointed) pressed
