I am looking for the original engine of my 914/6 (type 901/36; no. 640 5455). The car is in the Netherlands (Europe) now but was originally sold by a dealer in the US. Would anybody know where this engine is or have a starting point for my search? Thanks, Paul

It is a good idea to put your engine number information in the title/subject of your thread. It is more likely to be found when someone does a search.
I believe we also have a thread here with engine numbers, need to look a bit.
