Evening all,
I’m looking for recommendations for the following parts for my 6 conversion.

1, oil tank
2, tinware (fibreglass is fine)
3, flywheel for 901
4, heat exchangers oversize if available
5, quick mount engine mount bar
6, E cams
7, anything else I’ve forgotten!

Thanks in advance for your suggestions

you probably don't want to use the quick six engine bars.
they crack and break over time.
better to go with a bulk head mount... there are multiple brands.

Ben (mb911) can supply the oil tank, heat exchangers, muffler and engine tin. There are a few different mounts available. I got my E cams from Retro Automotive in Claremont, New Hampshire. They are a great resource for all used parts Porsche big to small. They have lots of 914 stuff. I hope this helps.

David, I've been looking into possibly doing a 6 conversion and a few other things come to mind.
- oil lines. I think there's a few that are unique to the 914-6.
- most aftermarket tanks also need a filler neck and filter mount that are sold separately.
- a 911 tachometer or a tach adapter. A 5700 redline just wouldn't look right if using an adapter. I'd have to have the face redone.
- oil temperature and pressure gauge for the 6. Maybe head temp too.
- hand throttle control may be handy.
- accelerator bellcrank and cable. There's probably numerous ways to connect the throttle linkage, but will likely require some attention whatever the choice.
- I think the transmission shift lever may interfere with the 914/6 heat exchangers, so you may have to replace this with one that's straighter.

I'm sure there's plenty more items... the more I research into doing it, the longer the list grows.
