We are taking the southern route via I-20. It is a little longer (Like 10 minutes), but it avoids the broken bridge on I-40 in Memphis.

Of the 46 914s registered, five are a work in progress, 13 will be trailered, and 28 will be DRIVEN!

Of the three 914s with ownership of less than a year, all three will be trailered.

Of the six 914s with ownership of 1-2 years, two will be at the event... the others are WIP.

hoping to be there, my motor is not yet functional . but parts should be in soon so we'll see ... plenty of time before i have to start to panic .
most everything should be in before this coming weekend, so in the mean time most of my spare time reading is looking over other engine build threads and several member's videos of type4 motor building. ......

Any interest in the swap meet? I've got something going on most of Friday, so I'll miss the drive. If the swap meet will fly, I'll be in a Ford F150 that identifies as a 914, maybe a trailer load? Not sure if I'll still have the tail dragger Targa then.

Still trying to figure out work schedules for my wife any I. When does registration officially close? I'm hoping that I can at least make it out there.

I am always interested in a swap meet. I don't know that I need anything or have anything to sell, but they are always fun.

Registration will be closing on Aug 22 so I can get numbers to the venue on the 23rd.

I plan on gathering up some of my extra 914 bits and see if they can find a good home.

I can't fit my whole garage full of spare parts into the back of the SUV, and be able to get luggage in it too.

A reminder to those who love to procrastinate... last day to register is Aug. 22nd.

Pet friendly hotel in the area? Unfortunately, our venue is not pet friendly. Any recommendations for decent pet friendly in the area? We'll come down in my recent 73 Carrera 3.0 GT build, with dog, if we can find a place. My wife even volunteered to hold the dog while driving!

Quick question for a newb, should I plan on being there Thursday all day and leave Sunday night or is it a get in on Thursday evening and leave Sunday morning?

Just get there on Thursday when ever is convenient for you. There is usually a check in thing around 6 ish.

Thursday is arrival and check in starting mid afternoon or so. For those who arrive in time, a quick sunset drive ~7:00 or so (have to check sunset times) is planned.

Friday's drive, Saturday's car show and evening banquet are the key activities along with swap meet and tech sessions (times to be determined).

Sunday has no planned activities.
