Hope you figure out what happened and that it's an easy fix. . . . headbang.gif

You should add it to the wall of shame...

I was trying to remember which thread that was. Thanks for posting it.

Hopefully, it will be an easy fix. Like I said, it felt like it ran out of gas. I'm about to go take a look at it right now and see.

I just replaced the fuel tank and put in stainless steel fuel lines but cheaped out on the fuel filter because it didn't look like I needed to so, I'm going to start there.

On the bright side, the kid that was driving the tow truck loved the car, knew all about them so, we had a good conversation while it was being loaded and unloaded.

Well, it wasn't gas.
It appears to be getting fuel to the carbs so, I'm going to check the ignition next. Going to replace the coil for sure, the one that is in their is pretty old. I just put in a 123 Distributor about 2 years ago so, hopefully, it's not that.
But, we'll see.
The adventure begins. smile.gif

Replaced the coil and it started right up.
Strange, I've never had a coil go out on me before but, I guess it could have been 20+ years old or older.
In any event, she's back on the road. biggrin.gif

Chances are the coil was not bad but the connections to it were flakey. Try putting the old coil back on and ensure you have tight connections. I've experienced this same scenario before.

I will check that out and see.
Thanks for the suggestion

Glad it was an easy fix
mmichalik
@tdskip Yeah, it was an easy fix. Drove it all over the place today as well.
I've done a lot to it since I bought it from you but this is the first time it left me stranded. It's been ultra reliable.

Thanks for the update and solution. My coil is original 1974 but keep a new spare in the frunk. biggrin.gif
