Almost all Porsche's were repainted red in the 80's.
I know you’re making a half joke, but seriously, mid 80’s to mid 2000’s were an awful phase for car colors. Somehow all the least used colors from the crayon box were the only colors you could buy on a car.
My theory is a reduction of cocaine in the marketing department led to a long era of boring people making boring cars.
I get thrilled to see these bright green Cameros and corvettes. I think, “Finally! Fun cars look fun again!”
I agree with your thinking, but I think it's opposite. Cocaine was real big in the 80's, when that box of crayons narrowed to just a few colors. LSD, mushrooms, etc were big in the late 60's and 70's when all the cool colors came out. Today is blah blah with the colors, kinda like Charlie Brown not really listening.
Ha! Very good sir! Clearly I don’t know drugs very well, but I was at least on the right track aboa change in drugs changing design
