These are the ones that secure the metal trim on the windshield pillars and rear of the cabin that in turn hold the seals in place;

Countersunk-Head Screw, 911 (66-67) Part Number: 999.148.005.0E are $10.09 each. Yeah, not feeling that.

Anything that makes these 5x15 Countersunk Screw so special I can't try to find something similar from McMaster Carr?

The front trim piece for reference is #27 here.

Anyone been there and substituted that?

I think I got those from Belmetric, in stainless.

Those screws are not countersunk. You could use countersunk, but may actually make it harder to find.

That is not the correct style or size screw. I will check the correct size and i probably have new ones on hand. It is an oval head screw.

The correct screw is a 2.9 x 10 oval head self tapping screw. I removed one to confirm. PET shows a 13mm lenght but they ofter superceed hardware part numbers to more common parts that will also work. I have them. You need 18 to install all four trim pieces. The original screw is on the dime.

I've purchased a lot of screws in many different sizes from there. I used all black oxide on the car as well.

Looks like some vendors have their cross-reference totally wrong.

These come in a minimum of 100 from McMaster so if anyone needs some let me know!

I gave the wrong description. They are pan head not oval which are countersunk.

1- you can get them from amazon/ebay easy.

2- the 4.2 cross references to a #6 iirc, so the 2.9 might be a #4 or something super common.
