Will be interesting to see where this car goes/ends up.
Great work - nice that this is what they chose to do.

Hmmm whats the significance of the "custom" knife?

Probably because of watching one too many episodes of Forged In Fire on the History Channel... confused24.gif

Awesome job on the car though.

I think the head light motor covers are incorrect, which is obvious… or are they grey?
Lug caps missing.

A few things here and there. Not a true 'Porsche' resto as many of the parts are the same vendors we buy from. But overall a nice, well done car.
It's a customer car so after it does the show circuit we may see it more.

The front lid cable is routed incorrectly. Weird that the spare is the wrong way up and has no hold down (or cover board). Maybe they just thought it looks better that way for the display.

good question.
one for @JeffBowlsby .

i have been trying to work out the mystery of the grey covers.
and how long they last.
i have an 01/74 and they were around in that time. its original and grey.
then they disappear again later in 74 and go black.
been tracking it with the 1.8 research.

i think they are black around this time but don't ask me for a date. biggrin.gif

Thinking about it... they couldn't have got the spare tire cover to sit right with the cable in the way, so they opted to leave it off and flip the wheel upside down to show the good side I guess.

It is nice though overall, for sure.

Notice they used Rubber's seat adjuster handles.
Non OE seat belts but receivers are correct.

I did a survey of members from this site many years ago and the result was that the grey covers were only around in the spring of calendar 1974. All 914s had them in that time frame, which coincidently overlapped the LE production window. I think the survey specifics are still on my CanAm website, on the LE page, link near the bottom of the page.
