So the "D" in the bulb description is for dual filament aka, motorcycle headlight has high and low beam, that's why the original bulbs are "S" for single--did you have to bridge the connection to kick it into high beam mode or just letting it sit on low beam, or does it go into high beam mode naturally?
Despite being marked as D for dual, they are actually single so no switching is needed or possible. I guess the big question is how does the light pattern compare with the original filament bulb. The position in the housing and the reflector were designed for the filament to be in a particular position that the LED does not appear to duplicate. I would be interested in some sort of a comparison for the beam spread.
