Full Version: Where do these wires go?

Have these 3 wires behind the left gauge. Looks like a blue one, a green one with a black stripe, and a red one that has a buddy plug.

We can't find homes for these, don't seem to know what they are for. Everything seems to be working.

This appears to be a 1975 California car.
The Blue/yellow goes to one side of the CAT warning light
The Black/yellow goes to one side of the EGR warning light
The Red/white is a hot 12V power going to the other sides of the warning lights

Thanks George. I always value your input. Another thing learned and documented.

I think the wiring harness was for all states. I've run across some emissions plugs in the interior and rear trunk that were for CA cars. This car was a new car in St. Louis.

I guess on the assembly line they didn't put these wires anywhere, but knew CA cars needed to be plugged into something.
