As my engine is out and I am tearing into it... I was wondering about this kit from autoAtlanta
PISTON AND CYLINDER SET (2.0 LITER, 94.0 MM, 8.1:1 COMPRESSION)
S039198075 - Replacement/Accessor
http://www.autoatlanta.com/results.php?par...r=914%201970-76

There is also a 96mm set but that says for 1.7 and 1.8
Not sure if that matters.

The 96mm set is for the 1.7 crankshaft (66mm stroke), which will give you 1911 ccs total.

I was just joking about 96’s being an easy swap while you had the engine out. poke.gif

There are 96’s for the 2.0L to take it to 2056 but as noted above they have a different offset of the wrist pin to account for the longer stroke on the 2.0L crank.

Now get back to fixing the oil leak and don’t get crazy while you’re looking at that engine sitting there so easily accessible happy11.gif

Yeah yeah yeah... Just thinking about the rings, and if I do the rings....

And the compression jump...

Not sure if Kolbenschmidt is still making P/C ‘s for the type 4. For a fair price I got a great product. I only ran 94’s for a thicker cylinder wall. It can get hot here, even in the winter.
