Trekkor
I'll be done Weds or Thurs if I keep my head in it.

Punch list: wink.gif
drop engine and trans
split engine and trans.
adjust valves
clean engine
replace cam chain cover gaskets
install oil thermostat, lines and cooler
install new "special" trans
put it all back in

If I have time: dry.gif

brake cooling ducting
new suspension bushings
new fuel line in the tunnel

Right now the car is in the air with everything removed.
Six bolts are all that remain before the engine is out.

Tomorrow will be a good day...a 914 day.

KT

I have an a/x on Sat, so I have to be done.
redshift
Dood... just put air-ride suspension on it.

I will...It's mainly for the track, as most a/x's are all 2nd gear for me.

Progress report:

Engine is out and cleaned-up
Valves adusted
Other trans is installed
New SS braided fuel line is in the car
All holes for the oil lines are cut
thermostat mount is in place ( front trunk )

Still have to:

assemble and install oil lines
replace oil filter
install engine and re-connect everything
install new exhaust studs
install cleaned fuel tank
replace fuel filter
install passenger seat and belts
replace inner CV joint boots...

FYI:

the oil lines are going inside the car on the floor, along the passenger long.

No pictures yet dry.gif

Cool! Your getting the job done and quickly I might add. We need pictures though. biggrin.gif
Trekkor
I'm up early and getting ready to go at it.

I think I can, I think I can, I think I can... burnout.gif

If I get the motor in and the CV joints repaired, I'm home free.

I'll take some pics of the cooler set-up today, too.

Trekkor
Dig this!

Shroud will come later...

KT
Aaron Cox
you DID put it there....

why? just eats up more of your trunk space over GT style.....
unsure.gif

not trying to be condescending.... just curious. who knows.
Aaron Cox
oh... BTW - earls is good stuff. i liked it better than the XRP stuff i dealt with also (can tell by single off color stainless braid)
Trekkor
After the low profile shroud is in place I'll be able to put a few things in there if I feel like it.

I really don't take it on road trips.
Last time I put stuff in there was for a BBQ. Big hat and my apron chowtime.gif

Hope you like it. wink.gif

Back on the trailer and ready to get huge!!!

Had many obstacles.

This was an absolute heart breaker at, say, 9:30 pm headbang.gif

What are the chances anyone will have one for me?
Drop link for triple weber linkage.

Mark just happened to have a loaner for me.
Definately worth a burger.burger.gif

Thanks also go out to Rich Bontempi at High Performance House. He shipped many parts to make this happen.

Also to Brandon Penserini of Altissimo Restoration in Napa for the generous use of his shop space. clap.gif

Mark was very helpful. Couldn't have done this without his help.

Thank you!

PICS!!!
