I just got some EMPI 8 spoke wheels and i need to find tires to fit them. I am guessing it is a 15 inch wheel so am i looking for a 195/60r/15 or something like that? Any help much appreciated.

where did you get the wheels?
Are the VW offset or 914 offset?

There will be a difference in tire size that will fit.
IIRC, the vw offset will only allow a 165/SR 15-ish size,
but with the 914 offset you can get 195/60 15s to fit.

With stock wheels, a 205 will fit most stock fendered cars. I'm not sure what the EMPI back spacing is, but that will affect the size of tires. 195 should be perfectly safe.

pull a wheel and measure backspacing. measure from the INSIDE lip to the hub mating surface. 112mm or so.... is optimal
