2002 boxster motor.
Boxster motor
Will it fit in a 914?
Stirlingr
Probable rebuild cost $3000+, also no injector system or any other external equipment. It would be cheaper and probably better to buy a whole engine out of a running wreck.
i love porsche
agree.gif it will be much less painful to buy a working motor

Could the tranny handle the power?
How many thousands of dollars for an intake setup?
I want it!

Flood damaged engines sell for cheap for a reason.
And this engine has nothing with it, its not anywhere near complete. It will need a full tear down, and anyhting electronic will need to be replaced.

Arn't the boxters and such water cooled now anyway? Maybe not, I don't follow them at all.

yes, the 996 and 986 series and later are all water cooled

I wonder if you can even buy parts to rebuild them...who knows, the factory might consider them "disposable" and not offer replacement gaskets or bearings or piston/ring sets.....

it would look neat in the 914 engine compartment with 6 individual throttle bodies smash.gif

Not between the stock trailing arms...

It's "in progress" but quite a challenge for the suspension...

oh, and if you have a damaged "valve" cover, it is integral with the cam.

I think I would rather have this one.
