Full Version: What fuchs to put under GT-flared 914?

I've always wondered. Once I have my 914 I plan to flare it correctly, but what year Fuchs does everyone go with for maximum width w/o rubbing & looking correct as well?

8's and 9's fit under gt flares just fine...

I am running 15x8 Fuchs on all 4 corners with factory stee flares.

factory ran 7"/8" with 1" spacers or 8"/9" with no spacers ...

Everybody wants 9" for the back. Very few have 'em. $ $ $ $
Most are happy with 7's & 8's. Wider is better.

I think the 16 inchers look best. 15 is to small and 17 is to big for a flared 914.

I have got a set of 15 X 8.5 fake fuchs Ill be selling off in a couple of weeks when the new to me wheels get here smile.gif they are the ones in this shot of the car. Your close drive up NO shipping cost other than gas. One need some tlc but the cost will be VERRY reasonable cool_shades.gif

I would disagree that 17 is to big. The 17X40 rear tire is so close dimensionally to the 16X45 tire that the only difference is it will rotate 6 more times over a 1 mile distance! Plus 16" rubber is getting harder to get all the time.
