Couple of years ago at TH we had 3 fresh pheasants after 2 run sessions.
A little red stuff on front airdams, otherwise no damage.
Someone had some very fresh poultry that evening
And no buckshot to find.

I have grille-ed one turkey *buzzard*, but never a real turkey!
That would have rocked!

My buddy and I used to "hunt" partridge (pheasant) on the logging roads using an old Volvo as our "weapon". That video kind of brought back a bunch of old memories, but without the slowing down part.

trek, your car sounds 10x better than mine....
is it the /6 sound, or a good exhaust system?

Venison. Every once in awhile a deer makes it onto the track at Lime Rock or Watkins Glen. A few years ago a guy in front of me hit a squirel turning into the laces, and much of the squirels remains ended up on my hood/windshield

I almost hit this Pheasant late this fall. He came out of an apple orchard (Bliss MI)with his buddy's & I almost hit him. Got one picture befoe they flew away.

BTW
Did you know our "Turkey" expert is Iamchappy. I have one of his pictures hanging in my office. Can't find a picture in my files. Hopefully he will chime in and show a picture. Dave won an award for his wildlife paintings.

Turkeys... Them bastards get into my friends' vineyard and shit all over everything. Plus eating every damn thing in sight! They're smart mothers, though--they disappear every year in early November, and don't show back up until early December.
Deer... A few years ago, I went to the Wine Country Classic vintage race. They had a deer that wandered into the area of turn 9-turn 10. It went across the track three times with no real problems. Then it ran across a fourth time. An Allard needed some body work after that.

Poor dumb deer, too.

Heh, just remembered. In the paddock of that event, I asked one guy if the car he was working on was an RS-60. He got up and shook my hand--"You've no idea how many people ask me if this is a Ghia!!"

If using turkeys will promote SIX conversions, so be it.

Squirrel jumped in front of me between 8 and 9 at WG. My last DE lap of the year was under yellow as someone squashed a groundhog on Bridge straight at Shenandoah.
Turkeys cross our roads up here in the hills all the time, along with the deer. Biggest deterrent to driving fast up here are the deer. Seeing only two turkeys like that video is unusual, here, they usually parade across the road in single file lines of 8 or 10.
Your car sounds great, BTW.

Watch again, there were actually at least four. Two go up the hill early, one goes under the right side guard rail and then there's the "which way do I go?" guy.

Maybe my next wildlife painting will feature a 914 in the background.
