Thanks for scanning and posting this article. I'd forgotton how thorough the SCG tests were. I guess we can thank Paul Van Valkenburgh for that. How do you suppose he determined the aerodynamic forces?
Good stuff!

Cool, I find it hard to believe that it actually smokes the tires off the line.

Thanks for the scanning/posting. It's totally legible.
I liked his humorous take on the NARP aspect.

That wouldn't be half as funny if it wasn't true. I remember the jokes about the direction of travel when these were new.

Even today I sometimes have a little problem with that direction of travel thing. Usually I'm on the AX course when it happens.
That front/back thing - well the front end didn't have a grill with a radiator tucked behind it did it? So that must be the back end. Right? Right?

It seems like it would pull a skidpad better than .76g.
He doesn't have a problem with the shifter either, in a Zen sort of way.
There's another scan on the way. I grabbed "Popular Imported Cars" March 1970 that's not as good an article but it has info on the six that I think you'll like.

Well, its tires were only 155's. Not exactly a lot of rubber.
