hey guys

has anyone tryed a mallory MSD ????

dose it work well? is it as good as MSD version? boldblue.gif

anyone heard of one blowing up? barf.gif

you mean a mallory CDI = (capacitive discharge ignition)

msd id a company.... and it also stands for multi spark discharge.....

i have a mallory hyfire CDI in my car. works great. i went with mallory due to me having a mallory dizzy and coil

i think the MSD's are built nicer.... but the hyfire 6al has a rotary switch for rev limiting, vs the lame MSD pills you have to buy

Aaron Cox
to elaborate on mike's words...

i believe the MSD are more widely supported in ignition applications, but both work great.

and he is right, digital vs analog, and the mallory has a much nicer rev limit controller...

I like mine it gives a strong spark keeping the plugs from fouling when they are cold. and it starts better.
