Seen on Ebay This car with a Masarati 2.5 bi turbo installed. I know of SBC, WRX, V6 Buick, Mazda, and /6 conversions, but a Masarati 2.5 bi turbo? I guess it would work? confused24.gif

It was there a while back too. Don't recall if it sold or not. Guessing not.

I have a friend who is a big fan of maseratis. Has had many biturbos over the years and has a merak. Have to show him this.

Why put a motor with such expensive parts in a 914? Thats a little counter productive IMHO. You could get more power from and SBC or Subie and pay so much less in parts.

It was for sale a while ago; it looked like it was in better shape then IIRC.

That's just stupid, unless he got the engine for free and the parts to rebuild it.

IMHO of course.

the thing uses special shims to adjust the valves. 24 of 'em..

it's a blow thru carb'd turbo setup.

uses special shims for valve adjustment.

did i mention it cost $2400 for a major tune up 10 years ago and only 2 places in the bay area would do it?
