Everytime I turn off my headlights, my left one winks several times or sometimes forever until I kill the power to it! Most of the time it doesn't stop in the correct location either....usually about 3/4 inch too high.

What gives ??

Sounds like a flaky relay.

How's that ?? Please explain.

On the headlight, under the plastic cover there is a relay. That might be bad.

Ok, I'm with you on that part....why do you come to that conclusion ? What triggers the relay ?

Trigger is within the gearbox. You can open it and check for damage. Might need
some cleanning, most likely worn. Dimitri

Quick check for the relay... is swap the relays side to side..... if the right side does it.. new relay time.

If not... its not the relays.

Mine did the same thing and I found it to be due to a bad headlight switch...
I removed my relays to keep them from winking.
It is always a good idea to keep a couple of those round relays around a spares since they work on several circuits on the car.

This should help you to understand how they work, and why they would keep running.
