Do these things work? WOuld they work in the 914s of the world. They seem like cute LED toys.
vortrex
you have a turbo 914?
Boldylocks
Heck no, ....
Just curious about the tech. Do you have to have a turbo? The articles claim these things are like 'get around a chip' devices for people who would prefer to have 'more control' than just dropping in a chip.

Just wonder if they work.

My cowl is metal, must be an early car.

Well i have played in the world of boost controllers a bit for my mazda rx-7 turbo wub.gif. This computer led thing is just a "piggy back" computer. Course they would work if you had some sort of forced induction. Since most 914's are n/a it would be pointless to trick the ecu for any sort of time, to add more air and fuel. From what ive read from that article its to add power but also retain the cars stock perameters so you can keep your dealer warrenty etc etc. If anyone is toying with upgrading a ecu, i would go DNHunt's way and get a megasquirt, haltech or tec 3 or whatever your fancy is.
