This started in another thread.

Changing the left rear wheel bearing since last year a cotter sheared and
it loosened up for a while. Trying to be safe.

2 hour job, but of course it turned out hub needed a sledge, which meant
taking off the arm, and disconnecting brake line, so there's 2 more jobs
to do later.

Anyhoo, then bearing goes in real nice, but now I have a bit of play like
it's one of the bad batch people talk about. headbang.gif

And a pox on the household of the idiot who decided to run all the brake
lines on the early years through NON-SLOTTED tabs! chair.gif

Bearings need to be held in by the CV joint nut... pulls em in tight, and gives em no slop.

I have air power to get the castle nut off and on. It has play even with the
nut tight.

should be 240 ft lbs.....

or around there iirc...

my SKF's pulled in with no play after that.
