Back in High school, 1973, there was a guy driving around Glendora that had put a big block chevy, trans, rear end and chassis from a Corvette and did a conversion, the engine was right behind where you'd sit, you just open the side doors to see it. Pretty cool conversion.
For all you young folks, we didn't have digital camera's then, I would have taken a picture, but I didn't have my Kodak Instamatic 124 camera with me.

Back in High school, 1958, we did almost the same. 265" Chev, 2bbl carb, 2 speed powerglide tranny, narrowed Ford rear end. I think the drive shaft was 8" long. Built a nice insulated box to cover engine/tranny.
