Lovely Lisa wanted some more Moab pics from our Cataract Canyon excursion... this was the rafting trip I went on a couple weeks before RRC. Now that you guys have seen the Colorado river you'll probably have a better understanding.

Here ya go:

Getting off to a lazy start from the Potash mine (Dead Horse Point guys probably saw this stretch of the river). We paddled for two days before hitting class 3 and 4 rapids.

One of the coolest parts of the trip were the hikes along the way. There are ruins that litter this stretch of the river all the way to Lake Powell.

After two days of slow water, we let the kayakers go on their own. This beach/camp site is at The Confluence. This is where the Green River merges with the Colorado River. The Green River is actually larger and the remainder of the river past the confluence should be named the Green River but... loud mouth Legislators from Colorado spouted off and for the first and only time, the river name game was disrupted... go figure.
