Hey guys and gals. I was just wondering if someone may point me in the right direction regarding my altenator wiring. Idiot light won't turn off.

I have a Bosch 911 alternator on my 2600 T4. It's from the 69-73 era.

It has 2 B+ terminals (1 is connected to the battery- the other is left alone)
Df
D+
D-

I just had the alternator rebuilt, and it has a new bosch external voltage regulator.

Any ideas?.

Thank you.

B+ Red/white. DF Black D- Brown D+ Red This is how it is wired for the Bosch. What amp. is the volt reg you are using? you can test the rotor and diodes with a ohmmeter.or a continuity tester.

when my light wouldn't go out, i 1st had my alt checked out, (it was good), so i checked and cleaned all my contacts and grounds. it still didn't go out, finally after i cleaned all the pin contacts, (14 pin connector) on the relay board, the light went out and i haven't had a problem for a couple of yrs now.

be careful opening the pin connectors, you don't want to mix them up. i found it easier to leave the connector, connected to the board and pop the top off, and pull them out one by one. you can use a razor blade to clean and open up
the pins a little.

contact cleaner and dielectric grease!!

hope this helps.
