Well I like the rivet look, The edging as I said in the PM was something I stumbled on. I bet if you went to a craft store or something you could find some thing to cover the edges.
But I think dressing the edges with a sander and grinding out the high spots on the matting surface would definately be worth it.
It's just sanding and the paint it prior to final install.
Flares get drilled screwed and fitted before removal and paint.
Yeah, I know I can find the stuff to edge out the flares.
I knew I would have to do some work on those things. But, I hoped they would lay up better "out of the box". I'm not gonna rush into this job right now. I have enough going on with this car as it is. I have the motor out (with a head off), the gas tank out, the interior gutted, Eric has my pedal cluster, new rennshift, new prototipo, builiding a 904 gauge, fixed clutch tube, rebuild all shift linkage, JWest fuse panel. Probably 3 other things I can't think of. These will just have to wait.
