I have a 914 5-bolt kit that's being installed and the rear caliper will not fit on the 914/6 disk that I was given. Any ideas on what to do. I'd rather not have to machine down a brand new 914/6 rear disk.
Has anyone else had this issue? If so how did you fix it, thanks!

Yes, the 4 calipers don't have the same clearance as the 6 ones as the 6 disc is a tad larger. So grind out the 4 calipers alittle bit so it fits.

Geoff, he says (on the Pelican board) that his problem is not the diameter of the rotor (known problem in some cases), but with the thickness!
I'll say it again--you either have vented 911 rear rotors, not solid 914-6 rear rotors, or you haven't pulled the caliper pistons in far enough.

I had 914/6 rotors with 914/4 calipers on my car at one time.
The -6 rotors are slighly tihicker....bout .020, IIRC.
Back off the venting clearance screw, push back the pistons and they should go right on. Mine did.
Setting the venting clearance is a PITA. When/if you get to that point, lemmeno and I'll tell ya what I did.

On my rear conversion I had a problem with the outer diamater of the rotor had to have it made smaller so the caliper would fit. This was on a 1975....
