Looks like you need to pull the seat to install the new handle, correct? I don't think a riviter would fit with the seat in.

The peddle board was from Santa but I bought the handle months ago.

The seat does need to be pulled and the toughest part (albeit not hard) was drilling out the old broken handle.

did you get those redone or did you find some in nice condition?

In a roundabout way I had them rechromed. I sources some cores from Felix but one was to far gone to repair. Derek found two suitable ones and had them redone; $750 to have both straightened and rechromed.

I think they look great.

we need more 914s at GGR events.
Especially nicely prepared ones...

That actually would be a lot of fun but my car is ssoooooo slow. Maybe after I build a raby kit, etc.

Can't we just AX up Leyland Park, down Camden, back on Camelia to Golf Creek Drive?

a 1.7 is not slow....that was what I had in my first (1970) 914. Had a blast with it. Great car to learn in...

Agreed I did quite well with stock powered 1.8 in zone 7 events. 1.7 is more than enough to do some damage on those 250 hp + 911's at AX events.

with my 1.7L car prepared to the then Ai class I could run mid to top 4 of the pack with the Bi (2.L 914s). This is back in the mid 90s when we would have 20-30 914s at any given AX...from completely stock to very wild ones like Bill Newlins 4 cylinder giant killer
