I remember seeing a thread, might not have been here.

It was a detailed description of how to make a rear roof gasket by using a garage door gasket, folded over, with pics and directions.

Does anyone know where that is?

You might want to look at Mcmaster Carr as well. I was browsing through their weatherstripping section, and it looks like they have many seals that would be a good replacement for the stock ones.

I did the Pelican homemade seal. It works good. Roof stopped squeaking.

But those two pieces of metal that hold the seal down and in place on mine ended up pretty crooked. Looks funky but it works........
