With Tony. They had Nike sites all along the west coast until the '60's and that one looks to be in the bay area.
BTW Tony, as you drive along the San Pedro part of the PV drive, there are a bunch of old 16" gun implacements.
When I was a kid we use to go down there and watch the asians (no dis-respect intended) pluck the snails from the ivy that grew around them.
They would occasionally fire them off for testing, and believe me, it would shake the shit out of our windows. I remember it really well even though I was only 6 or 7 at the time. Scared the
out of me...

Ding Ding Ding. Milan is correct. Its a tricky one, because its not really the prototypical Italian looking city (like Rome or Florence).

I doubt its France, or Portugal. None of the current license plate designs in those countries are plain white, they all seem to have the EU ring of stars...
http://www.worldlicenseplates.com/Actually. Could be Italy. I don't know if that Merc. could be a 99, (appears to be the last year they issued those plates) but the car in front of it might have the blue bars on either side of the plate.

Yup . . . Gustl's right, the car was in front of the Hotel Eden in Sorrento Italy. The water is almost right across the street.
