Could you use a tramel bar to transfer the original tie rod measurement to the new rod? That way you shouldnt need to do the alignment. Thats how we change rod ends at work and not have to do a rerig of the system it comes off of.

Yes, You could use a trammel bar to set the adjustments. But I have the alignment gauges, and I don't have a trammel bar.


You can also use a tape measure and a piece of chalk to set the toe, but its not as accurate as alignment gauges that can measure to +/- 10 minutes of toe.
