Anyone considering a body modification should be aware of the potential consequences - classification-wise.

last time I looked at the rules, you could still run up to 2,8 in F-Prepared.
hood or fender vents would move an otherwise legal car into Modified.

With a 3.2, that would put a 914 into SM2, or EM. I don't think you can cut holes in the body work under the SM2 rules, but you can under the EM rules. Heck, you can do pretty much anything you want under the EM rules. Oh yeah, you could probably also run under the XP rules, and hood vents would probably be legal in that class as well.

But again, if you're building a competition car, and are contemplating unique, expensive, or non-reversible mods. RTR... RTR... RTR.... That's "Read The Rules". And yes, read 'em more than once. What's totally innocent on the surface, could bump your car into a class that's populated by trailer-riding-fire-breathing-monsters.
