up to 66 muncie 4spd.
66 and later had a saginaw 4spd.

I thought corvair engines spun the other way. (which would mean using the trans for a mid engine application with a "normal" engine shouldn't require reversing anything on the trans)

Odd setup. Lot of work for no real gain though...

yup looks different cause in a corvair, the chev v8 inputs on the trans end .
they did make reverse rotation ring gears.

I had a 66 convertible Corvair with a 350 and a 4 speed 25 years ago. Mine was a crown conversion. Truly a clean car, 60k original miles. I saw that G.M. transmission and thought, hum, surely stronger than a 901. I pushed my car and didn't brake the trans, just one set of spiders.

Radiator set up can't possibly work, can it?

Car is local to me if anybody wants a PPI. Looks to be the same car that was on E bay last spring. As I recall last time it was listed, it had some pretty screwed up info in the description and some much less flattering pictures in the ad.
