So now I'm looking at my V6 under my car bolted to the transaxle and I see that the intake will probably hit the bulkhead which is the front part of the rear trunk when I raise it up into the car. I was going to just cut some clearance,but now I want to cut the whole trunk out and cross brace....weld in some tubing before?????..at least between the shock towers???

Which V6 ?? Typically only the large HEI dizzy's hit the bulkhead and require a "notch".. not complete removal.

I know the 4.3 GM injected V6 with the small dizzy fits "ok".

It's a 3.1 GM,I'm using the factory fuel injection.....ie (no distributor) from a front wheel drive car,now the intake points rearward.I'm thinking no room for the air cleaner boot and air box.....
