Started the new motor this afternoon, initially it would not start, but a little investigation found a loose wire, quick repair and vroom!! Broke in the new cam, timed it and did a little adjusting to the dual dell's. I still have to tinker more with the carbs, but I got it to settle down and idle at about 1100 rpm. I may have a vac leak on one bank, it keeps back firing thru the exhaust when idling down from a high rpm run. To much salt and snow on the road to test drive it, that will wait for nicer weather. The motor is a 1911 with a RAT 9030 cam. Very basic motor meant for daily driving this summer. I'll build a bigger and meaner motor next winter, plus add 5 lug and steel flares!
