Any chance that your attorney could claim 'mechanical malfinction' (speedo non-op or out of calibration)? I got out of 2 tix for 100 per while driving my 74 1.8 teener. I was clocked on the first one, the other was like yours where the off duty vice cop followed me for a mile or so. All I had to do was bring a repair bill to court and have the lawyer say a few words to the traffic judge.

Then again, this was in Kentucky back in the early 80' and my attorney was a highly regarded criminal defense lawyer. Hope this helps.
