Is there a trick to the fitment of the rear trunk? I've tried several times after welding the pivot for the hinge. I didn't think I was off with the placement of the pivot but maybe I was. I just can't get the lid to fit flush. It is raised on both sides by 1/8th". Any suggestions?

Put a body shim under the front bolt where the hinge bolts to the deck. That fixed mine & it was raised more than 1/8".

Not only is the read deck askew but the engine bay lid will not move the last 1/8 of an inch back to where it's been since the last time I waxed the car & left a thin line of demarkation. Jest dunno what's going on confused24.gif

Check to see if your engine lid mount bracket is tearing away. That will make the lid move towards the rear of the car. Only fix is to weld it.
