I took my 914 out of a two year storage and the back pistons seem to be sticking and the rear brakes dragging. Can I just bleed the back brake and collapse the pistons to free them loose or do you think I will need to rebuild the calipers.

i don't think you can "collapse" the pistons, that is, retract the pistons like you can do with a C clamp with the front pistons. the rear pistons need to be retracted by "screwing"/turning the adjusting screw

Rebuilding is not a big adventure nor is it expensive. If you can get the caliper off then the toughest part is just getting the circlip back on in the bottom of the inner cylinder. techtips 700 gives a good walk through of it - at little brief but not bad. I think that article may also be up on AA's web site.
