How do I tell what size Fuchs centers fit on my 15" Fuchs? I have a set of 5 bolt Fuchs that I was told takes the "early 3 prong cap". Well, I bought one off evilbay (good thing I didn't buy all 4), and it is too small chair.gif
The wheel hole is 2 3/4" and the cap I have is about 2 1/2". Which ones fit on these wheels?
BTW anyone interested in a single Fuchs center cap for what I put into it?

Verify the part number on the back of your wheels and compare it to this. Sounds like your wheels use the ring type center cap.

901.361.012.03 6X15 36mm offset, (3-prong center cap)
901.361.012.06 6X15 36mm offset, (3 prong center cap)
911.361.020.00 6X15 36mm, ‘72-‘73 (3-prong center cap)
911.361.020.10 6X15 36mm, ‘74-‘77 (ring type center cap)

Wow! Thanks for the info. Now where in the world did you get that info? I have searched for that kind of info, and all along you had it thumb3d.gif
Any good ideas on where to get the caps (reasonable) once I find the numbers?

It took me quite a bit of time to compile all this data but I thought I would do my good deed of the day and pass it on to everyone here on the web site. I realize there is one discrepancy with part # 911.361.020.42. The rear 8X15 Fuchs on my M471 GT are part # 911.361.020.42 but somewhere along the way I was told that this same part number was on someone’s 7X15 Fuchs but I really thing this is wrong.

FABULOUS! Thanks very much Steve. This really needs to go into the "914 info" section- in technical information... I guess "Body Dimensions". I'm going to suggest you post it in there, or we may have to get someone to do it, IDK...
Anyway, thanks for the effort and for sharing.

smg914 - you're correct - 911.361.020.42 was the later 8x15" Fuchs wheel & that part number did not apply to the 7x15" version.

Also you might want to add the fact that 911.361.020.02 - the early 8x15" Fuchs that was fitted to the rear of the RS after Mar '73 - accepts the 3-pronged centre caps.

I have never seen (or heard of) a 9x15" Fuchs with the '06' part number - where did you get this info from ?

Thanks for the information Andy. Probably for the last 8 to 10 years I kept a 15" FUCHS WHEELS draft in my email folder and added parts numbers and info everytime I would see a part number on the web (ebay, rennslist, early 911 registry, pelican, etc) I would add it to my list. Obviously somewhere along the way I saw the data on someones 9X15 inch wheel.
